about

Arriving just in time for Christmas, my annual festive EP Snowbia is a shout-out to my childhood fear of snow and ice. Dealing with such a happy, exciting time of year whilst living with the horrors of snowmen-filled nightmares was an experience to say the least, and the combination of political unrest and unrelated personal successes has reminded me so much of that bizarre juxtaposition of fear and love. Therefore this EP tries to combine some wildly different themes within four songs- a reflective Sufjan Stevens cover, a Christmas ghost story in the form of a Child ballad, a new take on a classic carol, and the title track which more explicitly deals with the aforementioned theme.

I hope you enjoy it, and also I look forward to working on some new stuff in this year. Happy Holidays to all of you!

Track Name: Snowbia
i may slip on the pavements
and i shiver a way in the cold
but this feeling never gets old
never dies

my gloves are all odd ones
lose them just as winter's begun
lose my head before december's done
though i try

i tried to be kind in the spring
but spring doesn't happen these days
i tried to be soft in the summer
but summer is hard as it's blue

and though winter comes sudden
i'm not scared of snow anymore
i'm not scared of love like before
before you

***

i tried to be kind in the spring
but spring doesn't happen these days
i tried to be soft in the summer
but summer is hard as it's blue

so if i wait til december
to hang my coat by the door
i won't be afraid anymore...
